Michelle Obama & George W. Bush are serious friendship goals. The two have developed a slackful friendship despite their political differences. While on social media users are embarrassed for Meghan McCain who brought politics to the McCain Memorial in her terrible speech. She was without class and dignity.
It's unfortunate that Meghan McCain would make today about hating Trump rather than celebrating her fathers life.
Another issue is a result of desperate liberals who are quick to pull the plugs on one of their own. His burial was a well planned Dem campaign stop for midterms, amidst soaring Trump approval. McCain actually died to save liberals; But Jesus died to save Americans.
According to FOXNEWS - "Meghan McCain took a number of swipes at President Trump on Saturday in a eulogy for her father John McCain -- who sparred with Trump on a number of occasions before his death last week of brain cancer."
And Fox- I say again. Just change your name to Trump TV for the remainder of his time in office. It’ll be more honest. No Meghan, there was a time this country was not “always” great. Slavery, American Indians land stolen and then they were forced unto reservations.
I hope that people come away from this McCain Memorial with some renewed sense of what Obama just called on us to do: Ours has been a belief in America's responsibility to the world, a belief in service, in sacrifice, in bravery, in integrity, in honesty, in sticking up for the little guy, in standing up to despots, in rising above partisanship, in being big and brave and bold and hopeful. "Follow his example...Get in the arena and fight for this country. That's perhaps how we honor him best." And how we honor ourselves, each other, this nation.

I love how everyone is getting all crazy about Bush handing Michelle Obama a piece of candy during services - The image below reveals that it was a piece of peppermint that Bush had passed to Michelle Obama.

Hope it makes you smile as it did me! Also, it took advantage of a grieving widow and asked approval from Cindy McCain to invited Ivanka and Jared Kushner. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible disservice to the whole McCain family and the country. I was disgusted. Anger is part of the grieving process but I do NOT give Meghan McCain a pass in this instance. As a seasoned commentator, she should have had more control. How deeply did she offend Ivanka Trump who was in attendance? Ivanka also loves her father very much. Reminds me of school when you hoped you wouldn’t get caught passing notes or sweets! It looked to me like the candy was given to him by Laura. Not important but just a lovely personal moment-sigh.
If your partisanship opinions prevent you from showing civility and respect in the wake of John McCain's death then you are part of the problem in today's America and not the solution. McCain embodied integrity, sacrifice, faith and leadership.
